Love is in the Air......

Wow, this was a rather productive weekend ! It was hubby's birthday on Saturday and his choice was to spend the day snowmobiling. So we drove 2 and a half hours north to where there was a bit more snow than here at home. I wish now that i had taken some pictures on the trails....can you say winter wonderland?! It was soooo pretty. The trees all had a few inches of snow on their branches and when they stretched over the trail overhead it made it look like an enchanted forest. And then there was the water coming out of the rock walls along some of the trails. It looked like frozen waterfalls. I'm glad we went. It was worth the agony i was in all day today LOL.... thank goodness my carpel tunnel is in my non-colouring hand !
Speaking of colouring...Love is in the air..... My parents are celebrating their 57th anniversary! Wowser!! They are such a wonderful example of what it means to truly live by the vows they took all those years ago. They have real moments--good and trying--and they work through them. Today's couples run before trying everything they can to work through the issues in their relationship. I congratulate my parents on being able to continue to learn from each other, help each other, grow together and most of all, LOVE each other. So in their honour, here's a cutie i coloured this morning for my parents anniversary. She's one of the new Magnolias. click here to check out the new stamps. I used the new papers from Authentique, memory box dies, spellbinder dies and the Magnolia doo hickey tag.
i coloured her with E000,00,31,35,41,42,43,44,47,R20,21,22,24,W5
Sorry the pictures seem a bit light... not sure why as they dont look like that in the file on my computer. And you may not be able to see, but this l'il sweetheart got a bit of sparkle on her arrows and head band along with some glossy accent on the bow.

Snowy Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone ! It was a perfect day to stay indoors and craft. I even got up in the middle of the night and closed the bedroom window--the wind was howlin' so loud i couldn't sleep LOL. I like to keep the window open just a wee bit for some fresh air, but last night i couldn't take the whistling. Then when i woke up in the morning it was snowing. Nothing major, just a fine snow blowing around, but enough to decide it was a pajama craft day! Gotta love those days--i know I sure do!!
I went to a crop yesterday with some friends. It was a fun day--and i managed to get two, yes TWO cards finished ! That's not bad for me....LOL
Now remember, there is time taken for lunch and supper....socializing and plain 'ole staring at paper and not being able to decide what to do. LOL I'm no marathon card maker that's for sure! I see some of the beautiful works of art on some blogs i visit and WOW, if i tried to make something like those i would be at it for days LMBO ! Seriously--they are works of art.
I went outside for all of 3 minutes today. It was just long enough to put some food under the deck for the bunny. I didnt see any foot prints this morning, but the food i put out the other day looks to be gone from under the deck. I hope he is still around and thriving. Neil said if we lived up north I would probably want to feed the bears lol.... well, maybe not the bears, i said....but there would be plenty of other critters i would probably feed ! I just love animals--especially the warm and furry kind.....

So back to the crafty Sunday project. I made this card today. It's a Stamping Bella Uptown Girl. I coloured her with R01,R02,R05,E000,E00,E08,E21,E23,E25,Y23,Y32,Y26
I added some glitter to the trim on her dress. An 'uptown girl' HAS to have some glitter....KWIM ? I made the flowers myself using a die from Die-namics and a Martha Stewart punch.

Happy crafting !!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful start to your week !

Birthday Card request

Happy Sunday everyone ! It's been raining here off and on for a few days so we have lost all our snow. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing....LOL... You see, in order to make the winter the least bit bearable, i have become a snowmobiler. Yep, that's right. I actually enjoy it to be honest. That is, when the trails aren't murderously bumpy. But with this rain, the trails are slowly closing again--even a fair ways north. So i hate to say it folks, but i'm hoping for some of the white fluffy stuff. Yes please. Mother Nature can sprinkle some of that fluff all over for about the next 2 months and then bring on the rain again. How does that sound? Fair? lol.....
And then there is Peter. He's the little bunny living under my deck. I have given him hay to make a bed. ( which im not sure he is using btw...) and i have also been drying out carrots and celery to feed him, as frozen food isnt very good for his wee belly. With the rain though, he may be gallavanting in the neighborhood and checking out everyones backyards. He does come back home to our place--the food is always gone. :) I have yet to get a picture of this little critter. He is pretty darn quick!!
I was going through some folders and came across this card i made for a coworker. She was giving it to a girlfriend of her for her birthday. I had fun making it. There's a little shaker on the base. The bee was on the paper and i strategically cut it so that the bee ended up inside the shaker. The stamp is a Kraftin' Kimmy. I love these little girls....so cute!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)

Snowmobiling at last !

So we went snowmobiling last Sunday. We had a good time being with our friends, but the trails were crappy and BUMPY ! I really hate to say this, but i want some SNOW-- yes, that four letter word we all love. I'm looking forward to going a little further north soon to hit the Sequin trails. They are so majestic going through the forests with the snow laden trees and the frozen waterfalls coming out of the rock faces. Gorgeous. But,  i don't think i should've gone without wrapping my wrist. I had shooting pains in my wrist and forearm all the way home. It hurt almost as bad as it did the first day i hurt it 3 weeks ago! I came home, wrapped it, took some pain killers and went to bed. Apparently i have to go for further testing as it still causes me grief. Fingers crossed it's just taking a long time to heal. I don't have time for injuries ! I have crafting to do and snowmobiling to enjoy! LOL

I was off the day after we went snowmobiling and i spent the day making a couple cards. I wanted to be able to start over so i could play a little longer in my craft room....LOL  I finished some cards i've been working on for Pointer Scrapbooking. Here's some pix of them.

Finally...........

oh my goodness .....! I finally got full-time at work ! It only took 9 1/2 years LOL. Not that my hours will change alot (other than at this time of year when we typically get reduced hours). But just knowing that i'm full time gives me a little more sense of job security. i'm grateful this finally became a reality. There are some that did not get the 'roll-over' and i totally understand their frustration. i've been passed over a couple times and by less senior people than me. It is VERY frustrating. I hope those that didn't get it this time, will next time.

As for this evening, i am off to water aerobics. LOL wish me luck !! I'm going with my sister and a friend. I hope this will jump start my need to get active. Fingers crossed it will. :)

Still having upload issues with photos. I hope to have this issue resolved soon.
Please come back and visit.

Grrrrrr......

Sheesh.... just when i was getting the hang of knowing what to do....something changes on the blog program ( or something somewhere) and i can't upload photos....?! So until i get this figured out, there will be photo-less posts LOL.
And then of course, as soon as it gets worked out, i will be posting like a mad woman catching up. So bare with me please..........

On another note. Today was my Monday--gotta love that. (other than losing some hours at work that is--we have shortened hours right now) It gave me the chance to meet up with a friend, Michael-Anne for breakfast. We had a nice visit. It was so nice to see her again. i haven't seen her in awhile and hopefully with get to see her again soon. And i also got the chance to play in my craft room and watch more dvd's of Pretty Little Liars. i LOVE this show.  It's funny, cuz Mic (Michael-Anne) got me hooked on the show after i told her i read the books. Now i've loaned her the books ! lol...i got season one and two for Christmas (season 3 will start soon but on a channel i don't get). i'm hooked ! i've read 10 of the 12 books in the series. My neice just bought book 11 & 12 so i'm looking forward to being to borrow them once she's finished reading them. The first 10 books were out a few years ago. I had no idea there was going to be more for sure although at the end of book 10 it 'felt' like there was more....and yay-- there IS more. Anyways, this series has so many twists and turns along the way. I noticed the books are different from the TV series but either way--good good good !! So i spent the afternoon watching one of the dvd's and then, get this, crawled in to bed around 630-7 to continue watching. I'd say i had a perfectly lazy Monday !!

I've been lucky enough to meet some wonderful ladies on facebook. Some of which are from the blog http://inkychicks.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/welcome-to-our-1st-challenge.html You should check it out ! They just launched their challenge blog.

Thanks for stopping by !
Have a super crafty day !!

Happy weekend everyone ! i spent the day cropping with some friends at The Scrapping Bug.  It was a fun day. As usual i didn't get alot accomplished, but i think the jist of the day is to get together with friends, laugh and share ideas---and that we did. How did you all spend your Saturday ?

I'm slowly getting the hang of adding links on my blog to other wonderful ladies' blogs. Bear with me during the process LOL... i hope to have the links on here over the next few days.

I hate to say it, but i now wish for some snow. We are leaving early in the morning to drive north a little ways to go snowmobiling. It would be alot easier to just drive to our friend's house in the country (where we used to live) and leave from their backyard. However, i am really looking forward to spending time with Dennis and Darlene and snowmobiling. Fingers crossed we find some snowy trails tomorrow !

I will post some photos of cards i made today on monday....stay tuned !

Happy crafting....xx

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone !! I hope you all enoyed the holidays and spent time with family, friends and loved ones. Christmas this year was even more special as our granddaughter, Chloe, who is just over 2yrs old, was a little more interactive. Although she was losing interest in opening gift after gift, she loved her 'baby and stroller'. Amazing how little girls as young as 2 know what to do with dolls and their accessories!

I was a little late in getting in to the Christmas spirit this year. I'm not sure why...perhaps the lack of snow... maybe it's the commercialization of it all. But I decided to put the tree up the night before Christmas Eve to see how Hershey would react. He's my 10 month old exotic short hair and this was his first tree. I was a bit worried he and I would end up 'eye-to-eye' if you know what I mean....LOL He was pretty good, so i decorated the tree in the morning of Christmas Eve. The 3 muskateers loved curling up under the tree.....here's a few pictures. But i forgot to take a picture of the tree with the lights on! OY.... oh well....lol....

Here's a few pictures of some Christmas tags i made as well. There is also a wine bottle tag i made for my niece and her husband for hosting Christmas. I just loved the Dreamerland  and the Magnolia Christmas stamps i used for the tags.
Thanks for stopping by....bare with me as i learn this blogging curve. Hope you stop by again !
